Jeanne Jugan Pavilion and Jeanne Jugan Residence offer a continuum of care to the needy elderly of the greater Boston area, assuring them security, dignity and respect as they age.

Each May, nearly 4,000 Knights and Dames from all over the world travel to Lourdes to learn firsthand what belonging to the Order of Malta really means – devotion, service, and fellowship. Dressed in distinctive uniforms and ministering to the sick and disabled (referred to as “malades” in French), the members of the Order form an international community of faith and service.

My parents gave me a simple wooden saint bracelet from Israel, which I began to wear every day. This started a trend in my family- collecting saint bracelets and wearing them.  It was a private devotion that I did without any particular intention until one day I was in line at a store and a woman commented on the bracelet. It seemed to call to her so I gave it to her as a gift. I bought a few more bracelets, and when someone commented on the bracelet, to me it meant that person needed it.

I have many stories.  I was on a plane and the woman next to me noticed  my bracelet. I did not have any extra bracelets with me, and if I gave it away, I would be without one for a week. This left me three hours to contemplate the situation. What to do? At the end I decided I was going to keep my promise. I  took  the bracelet off my wrist.  The woman was so grateful because she needed it.  She was making the trip to visit her dying cousin for the last time.

I have always enjoyed making jewelry, but I wanted to involve charity too, and have give others the opportunity to enjoy the pleasure of gifting a saint bracelet.

Every bracelet comes with a wooden saint bracelet for you to keep or give away when the time it right.   These bracelets are limited quantities and made in the USA.  .

More bracelets are planned. Our future bracelets will include: Our Lady of Fatima, Jesus, Holy Family, Saint Francis and Saint James.
